This book is aimed at helping Hippo candidates prepare for the Contest examinations. It is divided into examination units per Hippo category and then per type of test: Hippo Test of English Multiple-Choice (referred to throughout the book and in the Contest Regulations as Hippo Test of English MC), Hippo Test of Writing and Hippo Test of English – Use. The samples and past papers of these three tests are included in this book, together with their respective keys. Additionally, there are lists of past essay topics.

This book contains Baby Hippo, Little Hippo, Hippo 1 and Hippo 2-S1 tests. separate preparation book is available for the rest of the levels. This new edition includes the 2023 and 2024 papers too.
